Welcome to the First Issue of Lodge Lore:

I would like to introduce myself, my name is Michelle Headrick and I’m the administrator of The Lodge at Sherwood Village. I’m excited to welcome you to our new website and to introduce this new communication feature called LODGE LORE. For the tech savvy this might be called a blog, but whatever you call it its intention is to add a personal note to the website by giving you some current information and occasionally an article of interest.

lodge-lore2I have been associated with The Lodge since the planning stages. We celebrated our Tenth Anniversary earlier this year with a wonderful Open House for the community of Sequim. Bill and Esther Littlejohn, our owners, and I are all longtime residents of Sequim. Along with our residents we are a tight knit community and work hard to see that local businesses and charitable groups on the Peninsula are successful. We couldn’t be prouder of our contributions and accomplishments in those ten years.

As mentioned on our website, we are active supporters of many of the nonprofit and charitable organizations on the Peninsula. On the 24th of October the Littlejohn’s and I along with several of our staff attended the Harvest of Hope Gala, an elegant event presented by the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance to benefit the Olympic Medical Center Foundation. The evening’s proceeds are dedicated to local cancer patients through services, programs, and equipment. On the 14th of November we will be supporting the Boys and Girls Club of Sequim at their fundraising auction as we have for many years.

While we are proud of our community involvement we also like to have fun. On the 17th of December we look forward to entertaining you as part of our community at The Lodge’s annual Holiday Open House. This is just the beginning, stay tuned for the next edition of Lodge Lore where we will interview interesting residents and members of our and staff as well as presenting subjects of interest. “The Best is Yet to Come”
